Become a partner of our breeding

Help us produce well-balanced puppies. Become a Partner!

Eole, Flo, and Hendrix Di Amaretto Nero, Cara de l'Ile Romande, Dana du Bois des Buis, Lilly, Ouralou, Ouana, Rhea and Ray, and Prisca Di Amaretto Nero, Tenby and Tycho, so many pretty names for pretty stories that were born thanks to this famous collaboration.

Principle of partnership?

The dogs do not live with us, but with their owners. However, they allow us to have two litters with their female to help us develop the breed in a family space. The owners therefore do not pay their female dog in money, but the female dog remains at our disposal following the clauses of a partnership agreement. In this case, we take care of finding compatible males, we organize the matings, and give birth at home. Then, the female stays with us for 2 months with her babies before returning to her real family. For males, it's a little different in that they stay quietly at home and receive visiting females! For this reason, the "male" partnership is different. The owners simply make their dog available to us for breeding in exchange for compensation, and we thus have the possibility of using dogs whose past we know perfectly.

What are the advantages for the breeder?

LThe advantage for us, breeders, is to have enough females and males to fully devote ourselves to our passion. The barbet grows very difficult in France, and we in no way want to lose the family aspect of our breeding. We currently have 4 barbettes at home, and we think that this number is enough for each to have its place, especially since we refuse to part with our “old” females.

What are the advantages for teachers?

The interest for the owners of a female is to be able to acquire a rare breed dog without spending a euro, and in addition to participating in the development of a breed with a small number. For owners of males, the pride of putting their dog at our disposal and seeing their descendants is enormous... Adopting a barbet is not like adopting a labrador. The barbet is a rare breed and every dog is precious. Breeders, but also owners, have a real responsibility. They must help its development, and to perpetuate the breed, the dogs must reproduce.
It's quite simple!

QWhat are the disadvantages for teachers?
In France, before breeding, each dog must pass its "Confirmation", have its hips x-rayed and its DNA sampled. These are the first obligations for dog owners. But the costs generated are completely covered by the breeding! Then, there is a real difference between males and females...
Males do not present much of a disadvantage, since it is the female who comes to the male. For females, the birth and education of the puppies takes place with us. This means that the dog's owners must agree to part with her for a period of 8 weeks. The female dog will be required to have 2 litters according to the contract. We therefore do not ask the masters of the females to do exhibitions, it is already hard enough to separate from your dog for 8 weeks...

Examples of contracts...

Very often, people who choose the contract formula are aware of helping the breed, but most often they do not want to participate in dog shows!
This was the case of Virginie, Eole's mistress, who lives in the La Rochelle region.
If his Galibot made a splash at the exhibition, it’s because he was under contract. But, what a pleasure and surprise for Virginie to see her baby win! Eole was the best young male at the 2010 National Breeding Championship, CACS at the French Championship, and finally 3rd at the World Championships. He never ceases to fill Virginie with pride.

Virginie works at the Post Office, and she even had an article in the magazine about her work. And all thanks to Galibot. One day, when we no longer dared to ask him to participate in an exhibition "outside the contract", his response shook us "ah! but now, it's no longer for you that I'm doing it. But for me." What a nice surprise, she even told us that she would continue to do some exhibitions after her contract!

Floretta and Carole: When Carole chose the partnership formula, she didn't know where she was going... Carole quickly got into the game of breeding and shows. And when Flo was best young female at the World dog show, she discovered the soul of a breeder. She was the first barbet breeder in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg!

Hendrix (Marley) and Larissa: Our Belgian friends have become "addicted" to their young male. He is very promising, and besides, he already has his TAN...But the best thing of all is that the whole family is involved in education
of the dog. The spoiled little one is even entitled to swimming and handling lessons!
Now retired, he has had two beautiful litters, and thanks to him, Romeo's blood continues its great adventure!

And Cara and Amandine: not everyone becomes “addicted” to barbet. Amandine gave us regular news about Cara. She honored her contract perfectly, and Cara made Amandine and her children happy, and what's more, she had two beautiful litters!

Dana du Bois des Buis who lives in Burgundy had a single litter, but unfortunately had to be sterilized.

Lilly, daughter of Hobby and Floy, had a magnificent litter in 2018 and gave us eleven little goatees.

Then we saw the litters of Ouana, Rhea, Ray and Prisca. Today, other young females are preparing to take on the challenges of family breeding with us: Tao and Szoe, so many names that will keep our breeding and the barbet alive in the future.
